Dihydroquercetin С15Н12О7
Dihydroquercetin known in Europe as “Taxifolin” (Taxifolin), belongs to the antioxidants of natural origin, iliofemoral. Found in large quantities in the butt of Siberian larch.
Molecular structure and functions of dihydroquercetin to quercetin and close routine, but superior to them in pharmacobiological activity. Despite the novelty, the range of application of dihydroquercetin is quite wide, it is used in the manufacture of various products:
- in pharmaceutical industry for production of dietary SUPPLEMENTS and drugs (prevention of various diseases of oxidative stress);
- in the food industry as an antioxidant (extension of shelf life of products).
- Dihydroquercetin is included in the State Register of drugs permitted for use in food industry as physiognomists.
Quercetin С15H10O7
Quercetin on two atoms of hydrogen less. He looks a bit like dihydroquercetin, but the properties are very different. Dihydroquercetin – if for a long time lying in the sun and open air (in year two) is transformed into quercetin a flavonol. Almost insoluble in water; solution in ethanol is very bitter.
Unproven claimed therapeutic effects of different drugs or dietary Supplements that contain Quercetin.
